FishBowl to develop content for film, TV, emerging platforms

"America's Funniest Home Videos" creator Vin Di Bona is partnering with business-development executive Bruce Gersh to create FishBowl Worldwide Media.

FishBowl plans to develop content for film, TV and emerging media platforms, with Di Bona serving as chairman and Gersh as president and CEO.

Vin Di Bona Prods. will continue producing "America's Funniest," but future Di Bona products will come from FishBowl.

"FishBowl Worldwide Media provides me the opportunity to start a new creative chapter focusing on projects that are both commercial and, like 'America's Funniest,' years ahead of the curve," Di Bona said. "As global media tastes change on what seems like a daily basis, this is a perfect time for identifying, reacting and capitalizing on those short windows of opportunity, and who better to join with than Bruce Gersh, who has been at the forefront of many of the changes taking place."

Gersh spent eight years at Disney, including as senior vp business development at Disney-ABC TV Group, then worked at WMA as senior vp strategy and operations.
