The 21-year-old online personality's viral micro-videos have earned him more than 4.5 million followers.
Vine celebrity Marcus Johns has signed with UTA for representation in all areas, The Hollywood Reporter has exclusively learned.
The Florida-based comedy personality’s six-second, looping micro-sketches have attracted 4.6 million followers to his account on the Twitter-owned mobile app Vine.
In March he served as Fandango’s social media correspondent on the Oscar red carpet. His online popularity also has landed him ambassador roles with brands including Pepsi, G.E. and Klondike, as well as cameo appearances by famous faces (see the Vine below).
Johns, 21, has appeared on the big screen as well. He played the title vigilante’s son in 2004’s Marvel Comics adaptation The Punisher, and also appeared in the indie drama Canvas as well as the all-star musical feature Rock of Ages.
At UTA, Johns joins other top digital media stars, including Andrew Bachelor, Justine Ezarik (aka iJustine), Shane Dawson, Joey Graceffa, Jimmy Tatro (of the YouTube channel Life According to Jimmy) and Bethany Mota (aka makeup guru MacBarbie07).
Johns continues to be repped by manager Amy Slomovits at Evolution Entertainment and attorney Todd Rubenstein of Morris Yorn.
