U.K. Cable Operator Virgin Media to Carry Style Network
Universal Networks International inks a deal to bring the channel, with an all-new look, to the British pay-TV firm.
LONDON – A refreshed Style Network -- complete with a "glossy and bold new on-air look," according to the channel -- will launch on pay-TV cable operator Virgin Media in the U.K. and the Republic of Ireland.
Universal Networks International, the channel's division of NBCUniversal International Television, said the Style Network will go live March 6 on cable. It is also carried by satellite pay-TV giant Sky.
The launch of the new look follows the North American refresh in mid-2012.

The channel is the original U.K. home of Big Rich Texas, as well as Giuliana and Bill, Jerseylicious and Glam Fairy.
Fresh additions to the lineup include Big Rich Atlanta, billed as a reality spin-off that enters the exclusive world of a Georgia country club, where outrageously wealthy mothers and daughters do whatever it takes to stay on top.
Laurence Dawkin-Jones, U.K. managing director of Universal Networks International, said "We are delighted to be launching the channel onto Virgin Media, completing our lineup on the platform, and giving Virgin Media’s customers access to the full range of high-quality programming across all our branded channels."
Outside the U.S., Style has already rolled out in Australia and will shortly launch in South Africa, EURA (Portugal, CEE) and the Middle East, as well as Asia (Singapore, Indonesia).
