Los Angeles' ABC7 is taking viewers behind-the-scenes of the Oscars with a new virtual reality experience.

The 360-degree video explores the preparations during Oscar week leading up to Sunday night's 88th Academy Awards, previewing the Governors Ball with Wolfgang Puck, walking down the red carpet and offering aerial views of the venue from the roof of Jimmy Kimmel's soundstage.

The video is powered by Littlstar, a virtual reality startup that was part of ABC owner Disney's accelerator class last summer. It will become available Sunday, Feb. 28, at 2 p.m. PT on the ABC7 website and Facebook page and Littlstar's web, mobile, headset and Apple TV platforms.

The Oscars will be held Sunday at 5:30 p.m. PT at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood. ABC is also presenting a backstage live stream on Oscars.com as well as a live stream of the broadcast for cable subscribers on ABC.com and the Watch ABC app.
