Vivienne Westwood Opens L.A. Store
Celebs joined the British designer to fete her new flagship in West Hollywood.
Dame Vivienne Westwood jetted in from London to celebrate the official launch of her L.A. boutique with stars such as Malin Ackerman, Anna Kendrick, Kristin Davis and Mad Men’s Christina Hendricks (who is the face of Westwood’s new Get a Life Palladium jewelry collection) on March 30.
Westwood, who began designing in 1971, has long inspired the fashion crowd with her bold, eclectic and punk-inspired styles. Although the designer boasts more than ten stores worldwide, the 10,000 square foot shop on West Hollywood’s Melrose Avenue is her first stateside location.
The three-story space will offer all four clothing ranges from Westwood’s brand including Gold Label (ultra-deluxe), Red Label (young and hip), Anglomania (all things British) and MAN (her quirky, cool menswear line). Plus, accessories and a few limited edition pieces that are exclusive to the L.A. store.
Following the event, Westwood hosted a private dinner at Chateau Marmont for her guests including Heidi Klum and Zoe Saldana.
