VMAs 2012: 'Twilight,' 'Teen Wolf,' 'Awkward' Stars Reveal Whose Music Video They'd Want to Star In (Video)
Jackson Rathbone, Ashley Rickards and Tyler Hoechlin talk to THR about their favorite musicians before the big event on Thursday.
The MTV Video Music Awards not only bring together stars of the music community, but plenty of actors also drop by, especially those who star on MTV shows.
Stars of MTV shows Teen Wolf and Awkward were joined by Vampire Diaries and Twilight stars, who were there to present a new trailer for Twilight: Breaking Dawn – Part 2.

The Hollywood Reporter spoke to some of these actors on the red carpet before the VMAs, which took place on Thursday, Sept. 6, at L.A.’s Staples Center.
THR asked the actors whose music video they would like to star in, if they had a chance. While there were a variety of answers given, from Madonna to Jack White, The Black Keys were the most popular choice.
Their answers were as follows (and watch the video above to hear more about their choices).
Awkard’s Ashley Rickards: Rihanna
“I don’t know. I have a lot of friends up tonight. I don’t want to pick one,” she said before adding that she didn’t actually know Rihanna.
Vampire Diaries star Kat Graham: Prince
Jillian Rose Reed: Katy Perry
“I just love her," the Awkward actress said. "She’s cute and she’s talented and she just seems like so fun."

Elizabeth Reaser: Jack White or Madonna
“I’ve been obsessed with her since I was 11 years old,” the Twilight star said of Madonna.
“Jack White because he’s Jack White. There’s just no one cooler on the planet,” she added.
Jackson Rathbone: Tom Waits or The Black Keys
“I know he’s not really an MTV music kind of guy,” Twilight star Rathbone told THR. “I don’t think I’ve ever seen a Tom Waits video on MTV or ever will.”
As for the Black Keys, Rathbone said he’s been a fan of them since “way back in the day.”
Tyler Hoechlin: The Black Keys
“When I saw them perform with Johnny Depp at the MTV movie awards, that was probably the best performance I have and will ever see in my life," the Teen Wolf star said.
Awkward’s Beau Mirchoff: The Black Keys
Jessica Lu: Maroon 5
“I wanna say Maroon 5, so I can make out with Adam Levine,” said the Awkard actress. “If there’s a woman in their music videos, they’re usually making out. So I’ll take care of it, ladies.”
Nikki Deloach: Pistol Annies
“I would love to rock out with those ladies,” the Awkward actress added.
