'The Voice' Tour Sets Summer Dates
Finalists including Vicci Martinez, Javier Colon and Beverly McClellan will head to New York, Boston and Chicago this summer.
The Voice host Carson Daly confirmed on Tuesday's penultimate episode that the show's finalists will hit the road this summer.
The Sprint-sponsored Live Nation tour, which has six dates confirmed, begins July 27th at Los Angeles' Gibson Amphitheatre. Other stops include Las Vegas' MGM Grand Garden Arena, Chicago's Rosemont Theatre, Boston's Bank of America Pavilion, Wallingford's Toyota Presents Oakdale Theatre and New York's Beacon Theatre.
The roadshow will feature the NBC hit music competition series' eight finalists: Beverly McClellan, Vicci Martinez, Dia Frampton, Javier Colon, Nakia, Xenia, Casey Weston and Frenchie Davis.
In a disappointing twist, the show's four superstar coaches, Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Blake Shelton and Adam Levine, will not be joining them. According to multiple sources, tour organizers had wanted the foursome to join the show's contestants but talks apparently broke down over compensation. Had they not, the tour would likely have included more dates and bigger venues, including Manhattan's Madison Square Garden, according to one source close to production.
The Voice Live On Tour Dates include:
July 27th - Gibson Amphitheatre (Los Angeles, CA)
July 30th - MGM Grand Garden Arena (Las Vegas, NV)
Aug 2nd - Rosemont Theatre (Chicago, Il)
Aug 4th - Bank of America Pavilion (Boston, MA)
Aug 5th - Toyota Presents Oakdale Theatre (Wallingford, CT)
Aug 6th - Beacon Theatre (New York, NY)
