The restructuring continues at Walden Media, which said Wednesday that it has upped Heather Johnson Phillips to senior vp marketing.

The promotion comes on the heels of the decision this month to shutter the Fox Walden marketing venture and make it an in-house unit of Fox's marketing division.

In that move, Fox Walden marketing president Jeffrey Godsick retained his position with the joint venture but moved to Fox, adding the title of executive vp marketing and digital content at the studio. About a dozen Fox Walden staffers were laid off.

David Weil, CEO of Walden's parent company Anschutz Film Group, saw the shift as "an opportunity to re-evaluate our own marketing needs, and when someone like Heather became available, we snapped her up."

Johnson Phillips, who had been senior vp publicity at Fox Walden, will act as a liaison with Godsick on Fox Walden pictures and partnerships, including the upcoming films "Tooth Fairy" and "Ramona."

She also will oversee marketing on Walden projects outside of the Fox venture, including next year's "Bandslam" with Summit Entertainment and the "Narnia" films with Disney. (partialdiff)
