Virgil Abloh's Off-White Created High-Fashion Shades for Warby Parker
Virgil Abloh's Off-White has a brand-new collaboration in the works.
Hot off the announcement that the hyped streetwear brand is collaborating with Swedish furniture brand (and occasional luxury fashion muse) Ikea, Off-White has unveiled a partnership with eyewear retailer Warby Parker.
The limited-edition, Off-White c/o Virgil Abloh x Warby Parker collection includes three rectangular styles, suitably named the "Small," "Medium" and "Large." The skinniest frames are reminiscent of the '90s, Matrix-style shades, while the largest pair has a thick, substantial frame. All three styles retail for $95 each and are available today online, in Warby Parker stores, and at Off-White's Toronto and New York locations.
Though Warby Parker has collaborated with several taste-makers in the past (Tyler Oakley, Amanda de Cadenet), the Off-White partnership is a definite step in a more high-fashion direction — all while maintaining their affordable price point.
“I welcomed the idea of bringing a unique concept to life, one shape extended and compressed to express a different emotion within eyewear," said Abloh in a release.
Added Neil Blumenthal, co-founder and co-CEO of Warby Parker, “Both Off-White and Warby Parker were born from the idea that good products shouldn’t be limited to a small community. It only feels natural to collaborate on a frame that’s equal parts accessible and elevated.”
