Warner Bros Int'l TV's Shed Media Buys Renegade Pictures
Factual and documentary production label’s output will be sold by Warner Bros. worldwide.
LONDON – U.K. TV production banner Renegade Pictures, whose output includes Don’t Tell The Bride and The World’s Most Dangerous Roads, has been bought by Shed Media Group, controlled by Warner Bros International Television Production.
Renegade specializes in factual entertainment formats and documentaries and was founded in 2006 by Alan Hayling, Alex Cooke and Jon Rowlands.
It makes Bride for BBC Three, BBC Two takes Dangerous Roads and other output inlcudes Death Unexplained for BBC One and ITV’s Popstar To Operastar.
Renegade Pictures’ entire team, including new editorial director and former BBC commissioner Harry Lansdown, will continue to operate from its current London base in an independent manner as the other Shed brands do, the parties promised.
But Renegade will garner the “benefit of joining a well-respected production group” and also means the company‘s intellectual property will now be distributed by Warner Bros.
Shed also houses other banners including Shed Productions, Wall to Wall, Twenty Twenty and Ricochet.
