Warner Bros. Promotes Two Key Staffers to Creative VP Positions (Exclusive)
Andrew Fischel and Chantal Nong have both been promoted to vp creative development for Warner Bros. Pictures.
Fischel, who worked as an assistant at Di Bonaventura Pictures before joining the studio, has been with Warner Bros. for three years and worked on The Hangover Part III and Grudge Match, as well as upcoming features Blended, with Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore, and Jupiter Ascending, by the Wachowskis.
The Harvard Law School graduate is also working on Heart of the Sea, Ron Howard’s latest venture with Chris Hemsworth.
Nong has worked on the upcoming 300: Rise of an Empire, as well as the Tom Cruise sci-fi pic Edge of Tomorrow, Godzilla, This Is Where I Leave You and The Judge, which starred Robert Downey Jr. She also worked on Pacific Rim and Sherlock Holmes 2.
Having graduated from USC’s Peter Stark film producing program, Nong was an assistant at Sidney Kimmel Entertainment and WME, and, prior to joining the studio, she ran the U.S. office of French production company Legende Films (La vie en rose).
"Chantal and Andy have been key members of the creative team for several years now and have rightfully earned the trust of Warner Bros. executives and the creative community at large," stated Warners’ president of creative development and worldwide production Greg Silverman. "These well-deserved promotions reflect not just their tireless work in support of our efforts, but Chantal and Andy's exceptional taste and growing ability to help shape our future slate. I'm very proud of both of them."
