Warners digital unit names Colf general manager
EmptyWarner Bros. said Tuesday that it has named Vicky Colf vp and general manager of its recently formed Warner Bros. Advanced Digital Services and Technical Systems Development unit, marking the next organizational step following the formation of the studio unit.
Colf will oversee day-to-day operations of Warner Bros. Advanced Digital Services business and technical systems, supporting the studio's expansion of content distribution into new-media platforms, including Web-based and wireless offerings.
Colf also will be responsible for supervising the studio's "Digital End to End" project, which involves the migration of all aspects of Warner Bros.' film production and distribution to a completely digital process.
Warner Bros.' Advanced Digital Services and Technical Systems Development unit was created in conjunction with the dissolution of the Warner Bros. Online unit in September.
"This realignment will maximize our ability to support the studio's digital strategy as well as transition our operations to a digital platform," said Darcy Antonellis, executive vp distribution and technology operations at Warner Bros. Technical Operations, in making the announcement. "Vicky brings a terrific understanding of these opportunities both from a business perspective and from the technical side, which makes her the perfect choice."
Colf joined Warner Bros. Entertainment as vp corporate business development and strategy in 2004.
