Warners unit adds pair to Premiere spots
EmptyWarner Premiere, Warner Bros.' recently formed direct-to-platform division, has hired Matt Bierman as vp production and Jon Kuyper as vp physical production.
Bierman has been tasked with building a long-term creative strategy and slate of original releases for Warner Premiere, overseeing projects from script to screen. His most recent studio role was as a production executive at Paramount's DVD Premieres group, serving in a similar role as head of development.
Bierman replaces Warner Premiere's previous vp production, Geoff Shaevitz, who left the studio to pursue an opportunity with Houlihan Lokey.
As vp physical production, Kuyper will be responsible for all aspects of physical production at the division. He started his production management career working for Roger Corman and has held posts at Hometown Films, Concorde/New Horizons and Playboy Entertainment, and he was co-founder and executive in charge of production at Bauhaus Entertainment Group.
Kuyper has also been a freelance line producer, working on 40 films of all budgets and genres, including "Employee of the Month" and "Lonely Hearts."
