Warren Buffett Takes Stake in 21st Century Fox
The famed investor's Berkshire Hathaway bought 4.75 million shares of the company controlled by Rupert Murdoch.
Berkshire Hathaway, the firm founded by billionaire investor Warren Buffett, disclosed on Tuesday that it has taken a position in 21st Century Fox, the media conglomerate controlled by Rupert Murdoch.
Buffett's share in 21st Century Fox consists of 4.75 million shares, worth about $160 million, a relatively small bet on the parent of Fox News, Fox Broadcasting, the 20th Century Fox film studio and several more assets.
Buffett also disclosed on Tuesday that he has sold off his $3.7 billion investment in Exxon Mobil, the world's biggest energy company, while upping his stake in DirecTV, GM, MasterCard and Visa.
