'The Warring States' to Be Released in U.S., Canada
The Jin Chen-directed film will be released in theaters in major metropolitan areas on April 22.
American and Canadian audiences in select cities can soon see The Warring States, a historical epic about rival military strategists from Beijing Starlit Movie and TV Culture Co. Ltd.
China Lion Film Distribution will release the film to theaters in major metropolitan areas on April 22.
The Warring States is directed by Jin Chen, whose credits include Love in the Internet Generation and Crossing Over. The film stars Honglei Sun and Francis Ng as Sun Bin and Pang Juan, two students of military strategy who fought for supremacy during China’s Warring States Period, which lasted from 475 to 221 B.C.
China Lion will release the film via its exclusive deal in the U.S. and Toronto with AMC Theatres, in cities including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Boston, Chicago and New York.
