Watch Tim Burton and Christoph Waltz Talk 'Big Eyes' at London Screening (Streaming Live)
The biopic stars Waltz as Walter Keane and Amy Adams as his wife and artist Margaret Keane
The Weinstein Co.'s Big Eyes is a biopic about artist Margaret Keane (Amy Adams) and her husband Walter Keane (Christoph Waltz) who created the famous big-eyed children paintings. The film reveals that it was actually Margaret who made the art, but Walter who took credit for the work.
At the Mayfair Hotel in London on Sunday, Dec. 7, director Tim Burton and Waltz will sit down for a discussion about the film, which opens in theaters on Dec. 25, 2014. Here, THR exclusively hosts a video stream of the Q&A, which followed a screening of the film on Sunday, Dec. 7. Watch the stream beginning at 12:45 p.m. ET / 9:45 a.m. PT below.
Burton directed the project from a script by Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski. The Hollywood Reporter's review of the film praised the performances of Waltz and Adams.
"This nimble, bemused, culturally curious look at the married instigators of the kitschy “big eyes” paintings of the early 1960s exudes an enjoyably eccentric appeal while also painting a troubling picture of male dominance and female submissiveness a half-century ago," wrote THR critic Todd McCarthy.
