Glen Wilson/Paramount

The Paramount comedy is the weekend's only new wide release.

Paramount's holiday comedy Office Christmas Party rang in the holiday season with $950,000 Thursday night.

The ensemble film, starring Jason Bateman, Olivia Munn, T.J. Miller, Jillian Bell, Courtney B. Vance, Rob Corddry, Kate McKinnon and Jennifer Aniston, is this weekend's only new release and is tracking to earn in the high-teen millions, although Paramount is being more cautious in suggesting $13 million-$15 million.

Directed by Will Speck and Josh Gordon, the film follows a group of co-workers who try to throw a crazy holiday bash to impress a potential client and save the company. Partners on the $45 million film include DreamWorks and Reliance Entertainment.

Disney's animated hit Moana, which has earned $183 million to date worldwide, will likely top the domestic box office again for the third week in a row. The film is expected to earn another $18 million this weekend.
