NEW YORK -- Weinstein Books has acquired journalist Lily Burana's memoir "I Love a Man in Uniform," the story of a former stripper-turned-Army officer's wife.

The publisher obtained North American, audio and first serial rights to Burana's tale in which her anti-authoritarian streak is put to the test when she's forced to move to a West Point Army post to be with her lieutenant colonel husband.

Weinstein Books acquired the rights from Janklow & Nesbit Associates and will release the book in spring 2009.

Burana wrote the 2001 memoir "Strip City: A Stripper's Farewell Journey Across America" and the 2006 romance novel "Try."
