Weinstein Co. grosses $210 mil overseas

The Weinstein Co. reported Tuesday that the company grossed $210 million in the foreign market for films released during 2007, noting that it represented a 170% increase from the company's inaugural year as an indie operation in 2006.

TWC, which releases its films overseas via territorial distributors, said that its top-grossing title was Stephen King's "1408" ($49 million), followed by a new edition of the ninja turtles series, "TMNT" ($41 million), and Quentin Tarantino's "Death Proof" ($28 million). Other contributors included "Halloween," "The Nanny Diaries" and "Sicko."
