Ch'tis Magazine based on French boxoffice hit

PARIS -- With French boxoffice records in its wake and a U.S. remake in the works, Dany Boon's fish-out-of-water comedy "Welcome to the Sticks" (Bienvenue chez les Ch'tis) is turning toward the publishing world with Ch'tis Magazine.

More than six months after the film's French release, publisher Milan Presse has capitalized on the comedy's success by launching a specialized title based on the movie.

More than 90,000 copies of the 124-page publication were printed and will sell on newsstands for 5.95 euros ($8.57).

"Sticks" sold more than 20 million tickets this year to become the biggest local boxoffice hit in French cinema history.
