What's in an unnamed album? A No. 1 debut
EmptyNas don't need no stinkin' title to rule the album chart. MThe rapper tops the Billboard 200 for the fifth time with his untitled ninth studio set. But the album bows with almost half as many units sold as his previous effort, "Hip Hop Is Dead," which opened with 354,000 in 2006.
Nas shakes up the chart after four weeks in which the top spots were dominated by three discs: Lil Wayne's "Tha Carter III" and Coldplay's "Viva la Vida" each spent two of those frames at the top, while the "Camp Rock" soundtrack was ensconced at No. 3.
John Mellencamp gets his ninth top 10 this week with "Life Death Love and Freedom," and rapper David Banner gets his third with "The Greatest Story Ever Told." Country singer Taylor Swift is back with the EP "Beautiful Eyes." (partialdiff)
