Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar Storm Off 'The View'
Fight with Bill O'Reilly over New York City mosque on live TV.
Bill O'Reilly's appearance on Thursday's "The View" caused co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar to angrily walk off during the interview when a discussion over the New York City mosque near Ground Zero surfaced.
At one point, O'Reilly told Behar: "Listen to me, because you'll learn."
After Goldberg and Behar left the set, Barbara Walters said to the viewers and audience: "I want to say something. ... You have just seen what should not happen. We should be able to have discussions without washing our hands and screaming and walking offstage. I love my colleagues. It should not have happened."
Behar and Goldberg did return a few minutes later.
An ABC spokesperson for "The View" had no comment and said the show speaks for itself.
Watch an excerpt of the interview below. Goldberg and Behar's exit happens at the 2:35 mark.
