WHV, 2entertain renew distribution deal

Warner Home Video and U.K. audio-visual publisher c. have renewed their distribution agreement to bring BBC and other premium British programming to North American DVD consumers.

Under the deal, Warner will continue to serve as the exclusive home video distributor of all titles in the BBC library as well as additional titles acquired by 2EV for North American distribution, as it has for the last six years.

2EV's programs include "The Office," "Fawlty Towers" and "Absolutely Fabulous," with "Planet Earth" and new "Doctor Who" volumes planned for 2007.

"The BBC is indisputably one of the world's leaders in creating original, compelling and powerful television content and we feel privileged to bring their product to consumers in the United States and Canada," said Jeff Brown, Warner Home Video's senior vp and general manager for television and franchise. "Our partnership with 2entertain is a very important one and the renewal of this deal reaffirms our commitment to the company in bringing its products to the forefront."
