Will Ferrell, Zach Galifianakis Skewer Political Ads in 'The Campaign' (Video)
The election satire, directed by "Meet the Parents" helmer Jay Roach, has released two new teases of its stars' wild send-up of politicos.
For the first time in twelve years, George W. Bush is neither running or holding office during a presidential election. So what's Will Ferrell to do without an obvious outlet for his award-winning impression of the 43rd commander-in-chief?
Create his own election, of course.
Now, Ferrell isn't exactly playing George W. Bush in his new film, The Campaign, but his impression clearly serves as the basis for Congressman Cam Brady, the politico he plays in the Jay Roach-directed feature. With a southern twang, a tenuous grasp on the English language, deep financial ties and policy positions that sound more like incoherent bumper stickers, it's hard to tell them apart. And that's only half of the movie's madness.

Running against Brady is Marty Huggins, played by Zach Galifianakis. He's even more incompetent and silly, and just as politically well-connected. In the new advertising spot for The Campaign, we're treated to two new campaign advertisements, a bit of trickery that fits a lot of their more inane moments into a spoof of politics itself.
