Bono and Wim Wenders will executive produce Lian Lunson's feature, to also star newcomer Sophie Lowe.

Willie Nelson, Charlotte Rampling and newcomer Sophie Lowe are starring in Lian Lunson's theatrical feature Waiting for the Miracle to Come.

The indie, executive produced by Bono and Wim Wenders, is set to start shooting at Nelson’s private ranch in Spicewood, Texas, in March. Lowe is to play an aspiring trapeze artist who is directed by a cryptic letter to a gold mine in remote California, where she finds retired vaudeville stars played by Nelson and Rampling.

Bono, a longtime collaborator with Lunson, will write an original song for the film, to be performed by Nelson. Lunson, an Australian actress turned filmmaker, worked together with Nelson on the earlier documentary Willie Nelson: Down Home.

She also produced, wrote and directed the documentary Leonard Cohen: I'm Your Man. Waiting for the Miracle to Come, Lunson's narrative feature debut, is produced by her production shingle Horse Pictures, Molly Mayeux, Terence Berry, Fabrica de Cine and Gaston Pavlovich.

The executive producer credits are also shared by Cave Pictures' Dale Brown as well as Mark Rodgers and Matthew Malek. De Cine and Cave Pictures are also behind the Martin Scorsese title Silence, which is now in production.
