Winehouse won't be at Grammy Awards
EmptyAmy Winehouse will not be on hand for the Grammy Awards on Sunday in Los Angeles, after her visa application to enter the United States was rejected by the American Embassy in London.
Winehouse, who is up for six awards, has been an undisclosed rehab clinic for the past two weeks to deal with drug problems. She had previously revealed plans to attend the Grammys.
"Amy has been progressing well since entering a rehabilitation clinic two weeks ago and although disappointed with the decision has accepted the ruling and will be concentrating on her recovery," reads a statement from her U.K.-based publicist.
"There will of course be other opportunities and she very much looks forward to visiting America in the near future," the statement continues.
Although Winehouse won't be at the Grammys in person, any Grammy wins will surely boost sales for her breakthrough album "Back to Black," which has shifted 1.5 million copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
