Its core plot elements might almost be mistaken for The Hangover Part II remade as a thriller, but that would be trivializing this psychologically complex account of one man's unexplained disappearance during a Southeast Asian vacation. Anchored by a riveting performance from Joel Edgerton (Warrior), Australian director Darcy-Smith's debut feature maintains a vise-like grip that reaches maximum intensity as the mystery is solved. David Rooney wrote: "This kind of character-driven suspense can be challenging to sustain, but Darcy-Smith achieves that with the assurance of a far more experienced filmmaker. This is terrific stuff."
