WLW's Cunningham replacing Drudge

Twenty-four-year Clear Channel talk WLW (700)/Cincinnati early afternoon host Bill Cunningham has been tapped to replace Internet journalist Matt Drudge as host of CC-owned Premiere Radio Networks' live Sunday night 10 p.m.-1 a.m. show, which airs on 325 affiliates.

Drudge, whose last show will be Sept. 30, is leaving radio to concentrate on his "The Drudge Report" Web site and other endeavors.

Clear Channel VP of programming Sean Compton tells R&R, "Cunningham has had 24 years of double digit shares on 700 WLW. Taking his talent to a national audience is long overdue."
