WME/IMG Hires OgilvyEntertainment Founder Doug Scott
He will help the agency with its branded-content business
OgilvyEntertainment founder and president Doug Scott is joining William Morris Endeavor and IMG as evp, marketing and brand solutions.
Scott, who established the award-winning branded and original entertainment division of Ogilvy & Mather, will help WME/IMG activate its branded content partnerships and expand the agency's owned and operated properties.
At Ogilvy Entertainment, he created branded content programs and partnerships including ones for DuPont, ESPN's X Games and Hellman's with Mario Batali. He also executive produced the Andy Warhol documentary Fifteen Minutes Eternal and the healthcare film Escape Fire: The Fight to Rescue American Healthcare, which premiered at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival before it was released by Roadside Attractions.
Scott, who has 20 years of integrated marketing experience, before Ogilvy worked as svp and general manager of Bragman Nyman Cafarelli, founded entertainment marketing company Matter and served as evp and general manager of the Hollywood Stock Exchange. He will be based in New York, where he also serves as a board member of David O. Russell's Ghetto Film School.
