Woodbury new president of Uni Creative
EmptyUniversal Parks & Resorts veteran Mark Woodbury on Tuesday was named president of Universal Creative, the theme park division's creative and development unit.
Woodbury, who joined UPR in 1988, will continue to lead all creative activities in Uni's domestic theme park resorts and international licensing initiatives. A senior vp and chief creative officer at UPR before the promotion, he will report to UPR chairman and CEO Thomas Williams.
"(Woodbury) has been instrumental in the conceptualization, design and creation of Universal Studios Florida, Universal's Islands of Adventure, CityWalk, Universal Orlando Resort hotels, Universal Studios Hollywood attractions and Universal Studios Japan," Williams said. "Also, he is a critical link in the ongoing development of Universal Studios theme parks in Singapore, Dubai and South Korea. I know we will continue to benefit from his talent, wisdom and continued leadership in his new role."
Before joining Uni, Woodbury worked in residential and commercial architectural practices and real estate development in Florida and Illinois.
