Fox Searchlight and Film4 are producing the 'In Bruge' director's third feature, which is also set to star Frances McDormand.

Woody Harrelson and Sam Rockwell are set to star in Martin McDonagh's Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, a project that recently got the backing of Film4 and Fox Searchlight.

The duo will appear alongside Frances McDormand in the long-gestating film, based on a true story of a woman whose daughter is murdered and takes on the local police after they fail to find the killers.

The casting sees both Harrelson and Rockwell reunite with McDonagh after 2012's comedy Seven Psychopaths, the follow-up to his 2008 hit In Bruges.

Three Billboards — set to start shooting in April in North Carolina — will be financed on a 50/50 basis by Film4 and Fox Searchlight, with the studio taking worldwide distribution rights and Channel 4 retaining U.K. TV rights. Like Seven Psychopaths and In Bruges, the pic is being produced by Graham Broadbent and Peter Czernin at London-based Blueprint Pictures, alongside McDonagh.

The director was recently hailed for his theater work, with his latest West End production Hangmen being named best new play at the U.K.'s Critics' Circle Theater Awards.
