San Francisco Giants Sweep World Series: What Hollywood Is Saying
"Evidently, some giants won a contest. So unfair," quips Steve Martin, while "The Book of Mormon" star Josh Gad joked that the team "made the last two weeks unbearably boring with [their] dominance."
The San Francisco Giants swept the Detroit Tigers on Sunday night to win the World Series in four games.
The Bay Area team won Game 4 in the 10th inning by a score of 4-3. Third baseman Pablo Sandoval -- nicknamed Kung Fu Panda -- was named MVP.
The Giants' win marked their seventh World Series win in franchise history and their second in three years.
After the game ended, Hollywood took to Twitter to share their reactions. Judging but the tweets, the team has a lot of industry fans. Among the messages:
