Jon Stewart Hosts WWE SummerSlam, Gives John Cena the Chair (Video)

Stewart is back to hosting ... sort of.

After a tearful farewell from the Daily Show, Jon Stewart made a quick return to television and hosting duties on Sunday, in the rather unlikely setting of the WWE.

Stewart hosted the WWE's SummerSlam, a pay-per-view event that was held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. The comedian's opening comments included the joke that he had "spent the last 16 years talking about politics, it’s nice to be back in reality.”

For SummerSlam, Stewart got fully involved in the drama, shooting backstage scenes with his son Nate and Arrow's Stephen Amell. Considered largely one of TV's good guys, Stewart later turned heel by smashing a chair into John Cena's midriff in a sneak attack

Stewart is a long time WWE fan and has made numerous appearances including a memorable 'feud' with Seth Rollins on Monday Night Raw earlier this year, after the wrestler had mocked his Daily Show retirement announcement.
