Irving Azoff's company, a division of Live Nation, has partnered with Simon Cowell's Syco to manage the show's future stars.
Irving Azoff’s Front Line Management will manage winners and finalists of The X Factor U.S., The Hollywood Reporter has learned. The partnership between Front Line, a division of Live Nation Entertainment, and Simon Cowell’s Syco Entertainment will be announced on Thursday.
Front Line, which Azoff founded in the 70s and Ticket Master acquired in 2008, manages an already impressive artist roster that includes The Eagles, Miley Cyrus, Journey, New Kids on The Block, Christina Aguilera and Fleetwood Mac. The firm's managers are expected to work closely with X Factor judges and producers as the competition progresses.
Says Cowell in a statement: “I’m really happy to be working with Irving and his team. It is really important that the contestants have world class representation, and Irving brings that."
Adds Azoff, chairman and CEO of Front Line Management Group, who will have the option to manage any X Factor finalists, solo artists and groups: “I’m proud to be involved with Simon Cowell and X Factor. The Front Line team is excited to mentor this next generation of superstars.”
The X Factor premieres on Fox on September 21. The winner will receive a $5 million recording contract with Syco/Sony Music Entertainment, the largest prize in television history.
