Deborah McDermott continues as president and Tom Sullivan elected board chair.
Young Broadcasting announced Wednesday that it has named veteran TV executive Tony Cassara as CEO.
His appointment completes a reorganization of the company and the senior management team. Deborah McDermott continues as president, with Tom Sullivan taking over for former CEO Vincent Young as board chair.
Cassara began his career in sales at New York’s Metromedia before moving to Los Angeles’ KTLA, becoming the station’s youngest general manager in station history. He has also served as president of Paramount Pictures’ TV Stations Group, executive vice president at Chartwell Partners and has served on numerous industry boards.
Young Broadcasting owns 10 stations, led by San Francisco’s KRON.
