YouTube Star Hayes Grier "Recovering" After Dirt Bike Crash
The social media star was hospitalized on Thursday afternoon.
Social media star and former Dancing with the Stars contestant Hayes Grier is recovering after a dirt bike accident on Thursday.
A spokeswoman said the 16-year-old social media celebrity suffered a concussion, broken rib, bruised lung and multiple skin lacerations but is "OK and currently resting."
"Earlier today, Hayes Grier was involved in a dirt bike accident and immediately transported to a local hospital," the spokeswoman told The Hollywood Reporter on Thursday night. "He is recovering in the hospital surrounded by his family, where he will remain for the next few days."
Adding, "We can't thank you all enough for the outpouring of prayers and support for Hayes!"
Grier's brother Nash Grier posted on Twitter on Thursday that Grier suffered a concussion, two fractured ribs and a bruised lung.
Grier appeared in the 21st edition of the ABC ballroom competition Dancing with the Stars. He has over 14 million followers across Facebook, Vine, Instagram and YouTube.
Grier is next scheduled to appear a streaming series where he attempts to run his family's 19-acre farm in Moorseville, North Carolina.
