Zach Galifianakis Calls Koch Brothers 'Creepy,' Billionaires Strike Back

There seems to be a disagreement between Zach Galifianakis and David and Charles Koch: he doesn't like their politics, while they didn't enjoy The Hangover: Part II.

Galifianakis lampoons the political system and its financiers in this weekend's comedy teamup with Will Ferrell, The Campaign, playing a dunce who is recruited to run for office by a team of CEOs looking to buy a vote. As he told the New York Daily News, the allegory in the evil CEOs' names was very thinly veiled.

"I think it is pretty obvious that the Motch brothers represent the Koch brothers,” he said. "I disagree with everything they do. They are creepy and there is no way around that. It’s not freedom what they are doing."

The Kochs are billionaire industrialists, and fund conservative political action committees to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars. A spokesperson for the pair was displeased with Galifianakis' statement.

"Last we checked, the movie is a comedy," Philip Ellender told CNN. "Maybe more to the point is that it’s laughable to take political guidance or moral instruction from a guy who makes obscene gestures with a monkey on a bus in Bangkok."

On the bright side, they're familiar with Galifianakis' work.
