Zane to star in "The Mad"
EmptyBilly Zane ("Titanic") will star in "The Mad" for Peace Arch Entertainment's Archetype Films division and director John Kalangis. "Mad" is a horror-thriller in which a doctor and his teenage daughter are terrorized by flesh-eating zombies at a truck stop. Production is scheduled to begin this month in Canada. Zane is repped by Paradigm.
Jordan Ladd is feeling "Death Proof" for Quentin Tarantino and Dimension Films. She is appearing in Tarantino's half of "Grindhouse" as a Texan hippy who is one of three girls stalked by a murderous stuntman. Ladd's recent credits include the comedies "Waiting" and "Club Dread." She also starred in Eli Roth's "Cabin Fever." She is repped by Innovative and Levine/Wilkins Management.
John Farley has booked a supporting role in Screen Gems' "Wieners" opposite Kenan Thompson and Darrell Hammond. He just completed two independent features, "Strange Wilderness" opposite Steve Zahn and "Parental Guidance Suggested" opposite Frankie Muniz. He most recently appeared in Sony's "The Benchwarmers." Farley is repped by Martin Berneman Management.
Rachel Specter has booked the lead in the indie "Midnight Sun," being directed by Mark Grove. The story takes place during a weekend at an isolated mountain retreat where the characters are under siege by a group of vampires. Specter's credits include the indie "My Sexiest Year" opposite Muniz, and TV's "Entourage," "What I Like About You" and "Drake and Josh." She is repped by KSA and the Collective.
Lisa Pepper has joined the cast of the Anthony Hopkins-directed feature "Slipstream." Pepper will play the lead of "Tracy" opposite Hopkins and Stella Arroyave. Pepper is repped by Metropolitan and McGowan Management.
Richard Tillman has booked a role in "How I Met My New Boyfriend's Dead Fiancee" opposite Eva Longoria and Lake Bell. He will play a gym employee who has to deal with a barely clad Bell. Tillman will be seen in Paramount's "Broken Bridges" in which he plays Toby Keith's younger brother. Tillman is repped by Osbrink and Michelle Jannone.
Luke Grimes and Misti Traya are soaring to "War Eagle." The indie is being directed by Robert Milazzo. Grimes will play Enoch, a gifted baseball player who is struggling with the decision of whether he wants follow the path to stardom or continue with his small-town life. Traya will play his love interest. Grimes, repped by IFA and 1 Management, next will be seen in "All the Boys Love Mandy Lane." Traya appears in TV's "Living With Fran" and will be seen in an upcoming episode of "Nip/Tuck." She is repped by Abrams Artists and 1 Management.
Jonathan Sadowski ("She's the Man") is having a "Spring Breakdown" for writer-director Ryan Shiraki. In the Warner Bros. Pictures release, he will play a college-age ladies man who is trying to change his ways and becomes the love interest of Amber Tamblyn's character. Sadowski most recently shot a series regular role for the CBS pilot "My Ex-Life" and has a script in development at Columbia. He is repped by manager WMA, Essential Talent Management and Nelson, Felker, Toczek and Davis.
