Zodiak New York Expands Creative Team
Brent Burnette has been tapped in a senior development role, while Neil Regan has been promoted.
Zodiak New York is expanding its creative team with a hire and a promotion.
Brent Burnette has been appointed senior vp development, while Neil Regan has been promoted to senior vp development and current, the company announced Friday. Both report to Mike Gamson, chief creative officer, and Sheila Cabano, COO.
"Both Neil and Brent are experienced producers and fantastic developers – they have a keen eye for talent, deep relationships in the community and over two decades of production experience combined," said Gamson in a statement.
In his new role, Burnette will manage Zodiak New York's development slate, creating original formats, adapting Zodiak formats and generating new character-driven docuseries. Prior to joining Zodiak New York, Burnette was vp current series and development at Magilla Entertainment, developing projects for Animal Planet, Discovery, TLC, Food Network and Travel Network. Credits include Undercover Boss, Wife Swap, What Not to Wear and Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.
Regan was previously vp development and current, and will continue to develop and manage new projects from concept to pilot stage. Since 2000, Regan has served as producer, director and showrunner on several programs, including Wife Swap and The Next Food Network Star.
The news comes as the company -- behind Hardcore Pawn, Risky Listing and Lizard Lick Towing -- reaches its one-year anniversary.
