Sutherland will also attend the Zurich gala premiere of 'Forsaken,' in which he stars with father Donald, Brian Cox and Demi Moore.

Kiefer Sutherland will receive the Golden Eye award at this year's Zurich Film Festival.

The actor, whose iconic turn as agent Jack Bauer in TV's 24 won him Emmy, Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild honors, will attend Zurich to receive the award.

The Golden Eye tribute will take place on Sept. 25 in Zurich. The award ceremony will be followed by the gala screening of Sutherland's latest, the western Forsaken. The feature, from director Jon Cassar, stars Sutherland as a gunslinger who tries to make amends with his estranged father (played by Sutherland's real-life dad, Donald Sutherland), in order to fight off a threat to their community. Demi Moore and Brian Cox co-star.

“The way Kiefer Sutherland has reinvented himself throughout his career is a testament to the rare acting skills he exhibited at a young age and honed as his roles evolved through various mediums,” said Zurich Festival co-directors Karl Spoerri and Nadja Schildknecht in a statement. “He is a true global superstar.”

The 11th Zurich Film Festival runs Sept. 25-Oct. 4.
