John Malkovich to Receive Zurich Film Festival Lifetime Honor

The two-time Oscar nominee will get the Golden Eye Award on Saturday

Double Oscar nominee John Malkovich will be honored for his life's work with the Golden Eye award at this year's Zurich International Film Festival.

Malkovich's career stretches back nearly three decades and has included everything from the acclaimed period drama Dangerous Liaisons (1988) to action thrillers In the Line of Fire (1993), Con Air (1997) and the RED franchise to the self-referential dramedy of Spike Jonze's Being John Malkovich in 1999.

Malkovich will receive his Golden Eye honor on Saturday from German actress Veronica Ferres, with whom Malkovich appeared in a TV miniseries version of Les Miserables in 2000. Erin Brockovich producer Michael Shamberg is also among the Zurich festival honorees this year.

The ceremony will be followed by the gala screening of Malkovich's latest, the thriller Cut Bank from director Matt Shakman.
