Hans Lonnerheden Named Production Head At Sweden's NICE Drama
He produced the Oscar-nominated "Evil" and Cannes entry "Out of Bounds" and also acted as a bond guarantor for Swedish crime blockbuster "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo."
COLOGNE, Germany - Oscar-nominated producer Hans Lonnerheden is the new head of production at NICE Drama, the Swedish-based drama arm of the Nordic Independent Creative Entertainment group.
Lonnerheden is one of Scandinavia's most experienced producers, with credits that include Mikael Hafstrom's Evil (2003), which was nominated for a Best Foreign Language Oscar, and Scandinavian TV mini-series, such as Maria Wern and Arn.
As co-founder of European Film Bonds, Lonnerheden has also acted as a completion bond guarantor for such films as Lars Von Trier's Melancholia (2011) and Swedish crime blockbuster The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo (2009).
In the newly-created position of head of production, Lonnerheden will oversee both TV and film projects at fast-growing NICE Drama.
The Stockholm-based operation is the drama arm of the NICE production group, which is made up of Norway's Monster and Limelight Film & TV, Moskito from Finland, Sweden's Baluba and Titan Television and Danish production house Gong.
NICE Drama's upcoming production slate include the feature film adaptation of Swedish best-seller The Centenarian Who Climbed Out The Window and Vanished and adaptations of the Fredrika Bergman crime trilogy by author Kristina Ohlsson.
