FX's freshman spy drama The Americans led the nominations for the 2013 Television Critics Association Awards.

The Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys '80s-set KGB entry netted four mentions, including program of the year and outstanding achievement in drama as well as a nom for Rhys at the annual awards where critics across the country vote on the best of the best.

AMC's Breaking Bad followed with three nominations including program of the year, achievement in drama and an individual nod for star Bryan Cranston.

Competing alongside Breaking Bad and The Americans for program of the year are HBO's Game of Thrones, Netflix's House of Cards and AMC's ratings juggernaut The Walking Dead.
