Andie MacDowell's Daughter, Rainey Qualley, Named Miss Golden Globe 2012
The Hollywood Foreign Press Association said Thursday that the actress-musician will assist at the Jan. 15 awards show.
Actress-musician Rainey Qualley has been named Miss Golden Globe 2012 by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.
Qualley, the daughter of Golden Globe-nominated actress Andie MacDowell, will assist at the 69th edition of the awards show, set to air live at 5 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET on NBC from the Beverly Hilton.

Qualley performed in several productions at Belmont University and went on to study acting at the Maggie Flanigan Studio.
She is awaiting release of her first feature, the indie film Mighty Fine, which stars Chazz Palminteri and MacDowell. She also is pursuing a musical career and is writing songs.
Miss Golden Globe is traditionally the child of a well-known celebrity. Previous Miss/Mister Golden Globes include Rumer Willis (daughter of Demi Moore and Bruce Willis), Laura Dern (daughter of Diane Ladd and Bruce Dern), Joely Fisher (daughter of Connie Stevens and Eddie Fisher), Melanie Griffith (daughter of Tippi Hedren), Freddie Prinze Jr. (son of Freddie Prinze), Mavis Spencer (daughter of Alfre Woodard and Roderick Spencer) and Gia Mantegna (daughter of Joe Mantegna).

The awards show, to be again hosted by Ricky Gervais, will be produced by Dick Clark Productions in association with the HFPA.
