Oscars 2012: Michael Douglas Added to List of Presenters

The Academy Award-winning actor and producer joins previously announced presenters Halle Berry, Tom Hanks, Tom Cruise and Penelope Cruz.

Michael Douglas has been added to the list of presenters for the 84th Academy Awards.

Douglas won an Oscar for his performance in Wall Street (1987). He also took home a statue as a producer for best picture winner One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest (1975).

Douglas was most recently seen in Steven Soderbergh’s Haywire. He will next star as Liberace in another Soderbergh-directed project, Behind the Candelabra. The HBO Films biopic about the famed pianist is scheduled to start shooting next summer.

Douglas joins previously announced Oscar presenters Ben Stiller, Halle Berry, Rose Byrne, Bradley Cooper, Tom Cruise, Penelope Cruz, Cameron Diaz, Tom Hanks, Angelina Jolie, Milla Jovovich, Ellie Kemper, Jennifer Lopez, Melissa McCarthy, Wendy McLendon-Covey, Chris Rock, Maya Rudolph, Emma Stone and Kristen Wiig.

The Academy Awards telecast will be broadcast live coast-to-coast on Feb. 26 from the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center on ABC.
