SAG Awards Begins Accepting Submissions; Online Only for the First Time
Performances can be submitted through Oct. 25 at the SAG Awards website.
The Screen Actors Guild Awards is moving more of its award process online. Beginning Monday, the SAG Awards is accepting submissions of performances, and for the first time, submissions will only be accepted online -- at sagawards.org/submissions.
While there has been a mechanism in place to make submissions for nominations via the website since the ninth SAG Awards, for the upcoming 19th Awards, only online submissions will be accepted. The deadline is Thursday, Oct. 25.

"Implementing an online-submissions-only policy this year reflects SAG Awards continuing commitment to environmentally sound practices,” said JoBeth Williams, SAG Awards committee chair.
The SAG Awards was honored in 2009, 2010 and 2011 with the Environmental Media Assn.’s Green Seal, recognizing a production’s outstanding efforts to implement sustainable initiatives and promote environmental awareness.

Nomination ballots will be mailed Nov. 21, and voting closes Dec. 10. The nominations will be announced Dec. 12 at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood.
Final SAG Awards voting instructions will be mailed Dec. 31 to all active members of SAG-AFTRA, with online voting encouraged. The voting deadline is Jan. 25, and the 19th Screen Actors Guild Awards will be held Jan. 27 at the Los Angeles Shrine Exposition Center and broadcast on TNT and TBS.
