'War Horse' Can be Screened Free by Academy Voters on Opening Day
Disney/DreamWorks announced that AMPAS and guild members can see Steven Spielberg's epic on the big screen at their earliest convenience.

The studio behind Steven Spielberg’s War Horse wants Academy voters to watch the film on the big screen, and to make that happen, Disney/DreamWorks will offer free screenings to AMPAS and guild members beginning on opening day.
While most studios offer AMPAS and guild members the ability to go see a film two weeks after it opens, Disney/DreamWorks has announced that they will allow all AMPAS and guild members nationwide to use their membership cards to see War Horse in theatres beginning on the film’s opening day, December 25.

“The studio believes this film is truly meant to be seen on the big screen,” announced the release.
Below is the theatre list of participating venues that will allow AMPAS and guild members to gain access to seeing the film as long as they present both their membership card and picture ID.
Different theater chains are each handling the request slightly differently, with some offering guild members a chance to see the film on any day of the week and with others restricting the offer to weekdays, but not weekends or holidays.
