Cannes: Nathalie Dubois' Gifting Lounge Turns 10

"Hopefully have a lot of fireworks of A-list stars — that would be the best thing for the anniversary," says Dubois.

An "amazing French cake" is on the menu for Nathalie Dubois.

The event producer and gifting veteran is back in Cannes during the 70th edition of the festival to set up shop at the InterContinental Carlton Hotel Cannes with her DPA Gifting Lounge, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year.

"How am I going to celebrate," Dubois asks. "Hopefully I have a lot of fireworks of A-list stars — that would be the best thing for the anniversary." And, of course, that cake.

During the past decade that Dubois has been hosting events in Cannes, the list of celebrity attendees who have passed through her doors includes Charlize Theron, Richard Gere, Sharon Stone, Angela Bassett, Eva Longoria, Morgan Freeman, Terrence Howard, Catherine Deneuve, Spike Lee, Jennifer Hudson, Scarlett Johansson, Viola Davis, the Coen brothers, Colin Firth, Carey Mulligan, Tom Hardy and Susan Sarandon.

Starting Wednesday and continuing through May 26, Dubois and DPA will host a suite inside the Carlton, which will be transformed into four different atmospheres including a red carpet lounge, a Japanese-themed private showroom, a "casual but chic" bar and a beauty lounge.

The Zann Group is returning for a second time — brought to the guests by DPA Japan, the Japanese office of the DPA group — to host a private showroom with products made in Japan. Among the offerings: pearl necklaces and precious stones jewelry from lowz & Chedar, fashion from Liz Lisa, caviar from Hal caviar, shoes from Noriyuki Misawa, sake from Leda and crocodile bags from Kasane Zipangu.

The red carpet lounge will feature new swimwear line Omaio; tuxedos, bowties and shirts from Aliph; two gowns from celebrity designer Sai Suman; handmade casual wear from Riviera-based Emilie T. and clothes and jewelry from Lebanon Djihan Alama.

Ten well-known stars will get 10 trips (valued at over $3,000) to Relais and Chateaux’s Le Taha’a Island Resort and Spa in French Polynesia. Leading Hotels’ Soori Bali will host 10 selected guests in Bali. In the beauty lounge, guests will be treated by Malaysian vegan cosmetics company Omorose and by Mathilde B., the latter a personal favorite of Dubois.

Stars will also get some great custom pieces from four jewelry companies: Italian Amoree Bacci, French Libe & Lulle and Les Dissonances, and Canadian Madame Nadine. Another highlight includes Cristaux & Couleurs, which will gift crystal and life chart readings. Other brands present include: Lothantique, Teo Jasmin, champagne Domaine de Nuisement, Confiture Parisienne, Simone a Soif!, Vanarassi, Alison Sheri, Evolvh, Skip Hop, Urban Scents, Memo, Sphatika Skincare & Spa, Original Marrakech and a gin bar by Marula Gin.
