Hemsworth Talent Reps With Same Name Have Mix-Up at New York Hotel

ROAR's Will Ward (who reps Chris) says he and the WME agent who shares his name (and reps Liam) laughed about the hotel room confusion at one of New York's top hotels.

Power players Will Ward, a partner at management production company ROAR, and Will Ward, co-head of WME-IMG's endorsements group, have been good-humoredly dealing with each other's misplaced phone calls, emails and confidential information for years. (Friends and colleagues they have in common are sometimes given the "Wrong Will Ward Award.")

But the stakes were raised in mid-July when ROAR's Ward checked into a room at New York's Bowery Hotel and found it locked from the inside. Yup, he'd been given the key card to a room occupied by WME's Ward, who also happened to be in town. Bowery staff scurried to secure him his own room.

"We both had a big laugh about it," says ROAR's Ward.

ROAR's Ward, a founding partner, reps the Hemsworth brothers (Chris, Luke and Liam), Ken Watanabe, Luke Bracey, Cobie Smulders and the Zac Brown Band, among others, while WME's Ward, handles brand deals for clients including Charlize Theron, Ryan Reynolds, Jude Law, Liam Hemsworth, Rooney Mara, Michelle Williams, Tom Hiddleston, Dakota Johnson, Robert Pattinson and James Franco, among others.
