Jonathan English blood-drenched film, starring Paul Giamatti, James Purefoy and Kate Mara, is a gore fest aimed at indiscriminate action fans.

LONDON – Jonathan English’s blood-drenched Ironcladis basically a retelling of Seven Samurai bolted on to the real story of how England’s King John laid siege to rebels at Rochester Castle in 1215. Like the Japanese original and the western version, The Magnificent Seven, it involves a septet of heroic warriors who defend a community against a merciless tyrant and his band of killers.
